New fashion brand website
We've just been appointed to create a new website for a fashion brand to be launched next January. 22nd of January to be precise, as the brand is called Day 22
It's the brainchild of successful designer Lamis Khamis, who has a range under her own name which is worn by celebrities such as Paris Hilton and a certain Miss Katie Price. (Katie already has two fan club websites built by Message, katieprice.co.uk and jordanfanclub.co.uk )
The new brand is a joint venture between Lamis and Katie, with one providing design skills and experience while the other brings an amazingly high profile and marketing muscle. Given our existing relationship with the Katie Price team, Message were an obvious first choice to build the website.
First impressions
When we met with Lamis to talk about the project everyone hit it off famously and later that afternoon we put together a holding page which displays Day 22's latest tweets and allows people to sign up to a mailing list. As Lamis was still in town she called back into our Brighton offices and gave her designer input to the page. Tweaks were made, incorporating some illustrations she had been using in some product designs, and Day 22's web presence was born.
Message are now going full steam ahead to build a beautifully designed website with a first-class e-commerce experience. The site will have a strong emphasis on rapidly changing product ranges and blog content; with Katie on board and new products being launched on the 22nd of each month there'll always be something to talk about!
Blogging the web design process
We suggested to Lamis that we blog about the process of building this website from start to finish. Being a seasoned social network user she was more than happy to expose this part of the process to the world.
So, come back soon to hear about what happens when Lamis, Katie Price and an ITV film crew visit us for a design meeting... they're due to visit soon!
