We’re extremely pleased to announce that we are to build the e-commerce website for Real Stars Are Rare, the new clothing brand from Paul Weller. With 12 solo albums to his name, along with six each from The Jam and The Style Council, he’s certainly a prominent figure in the music world, but ‘The Modfather’ is almost as well known for his dress sense.
Real Stars Are Rare is uncompromising in the singular vision Paul brings from a lifetime spent in the public eye. He’s partnered with Phil Bickley, whose fashion retail background brings industry expertise to the project.
Having seen our work with Rapha and Oi Polloi they felt we might be the right partner to bring their project to the world. Rapha's e-commerce website has been hugely successful, combining attention to detail with classic styling and sound business logic, and has defined several e-commerce best-practices along the way. Oi Polloi's multi-brand offering is quite different, but it has become a go-to site for style-conscious men and interested e-commerce managers alike!
The new website will be the primary outlet for the brand, with only a select few boutiques carrying the line. A partnership with Message will allow Real Stars Are Rare complete control over the customer experience, ensuring the quality is every bit as good as the garments themselves.

I remember being at an early solo gig in Brighton shortly after The Style Council split up. From the back of the packed little venue someone shouted “What shoes you wearing Paul?” and I have to admit, it was the question on everyone’s minds!
